Incorporating Self-Hypnosis And NLP's Swish Pattern To Let Go Of ...

With this article, we are going to use a version with the Swish pattern used in NLP to accommodate an unwanted practice.

Please spend some time preparing for this approach session by creating a heightened awareness of the habit ? know very well what you do, the situations you do it in, what you imagine and feel when you used to do the habit.

When you have all that information about the unwanted addiction, then get yourself towards a comfortable Commission Jungle position in the place where you might be undisturbed at the time of the exercise, and we can get started doing the process.

Six Steps To apply NLP?s Swish Trend & Self-Hypnosis To become Free Of A particular Unwanted Habit

The first task: Induce Hypnosis at all you know of, developing a good receptive way of thinking and when you might have done that, move about the next step.

Step two: Firstly, imagine and create the earth where the habit would once happen. Notice whereabouts in the male body the feelings associated with compulsion are, see the sights of the spot, hear the does seem and really drawn in the feelings which precede the habit.

Make a truly vivid mental note about this imagery and the sounds and feelings that go with it, put a frame on entire scene, step from it and put the whole scene to one side of one?s mind ready to go back to later, then move on to the next step.

Third step: Now start to imagine how you would respond if you were in a similar situations but were freed from the habit most of the time. Start to notice how i would talk, how i hold your body, how you think to yourself. Notice what exactly is positive and easy about this scene now, and show at what is unique despite so much being similar.

Makes scene and images really bright together with compelling.

If you are affected by someone that everyone admire, what makes you admire them as soon as you look at him or her? Start to adopt the identical sense of admiration because you look at yourself in that new image where you have mastered your head, taken control as they are admirably dealing utilizing this type of One Minute Commissions situation in an exciting new way now.

Step into those shoes and become that version of you for some moments, experience the enjoyment to be this way, experience how easy it is to be this way at this moment, put a smile onto your face and really bask in admiring yourself through the inside as you sense really good to be in this situation having taken control and being clear of the old habit that you used to have.

Step out all over again, put a mode around it obese the image right there in front of you, now shrink it down into a really small grey dot. Then move on to the next step.

Next step: Now bring once again the old negative image in the old unwanted common practice and put that grey dot right in the midst of it.

Then blow up the grey dot so that it expands and covers up the entire aged, unwanted, negative imagery and as it fills the image, notice it happens to be brighter, more effective, with clear sounds and notice that the image covers you within a deep rooted, splendidly enjoyable sensation associated with self-assuredness and control. Notice the big smile on the face and notice that you will be in control of this situation.

When it is completely dominating and overpowering and there is no trace of this old unwanted image therefore you feel really excellent, then blank everything you need out, imagine washing the colour white around inside of your mind and run through this step an additional 5-10 times, just repeating the method. Each time people expand and increase the grey appear in, say the phrase ?swish? to yourself in the mind (I at the same time imagine the sound of the fact that doors use to make on the Starship Enterprise within the original series involving Star Trek, but feel free to use any sound everyone like).

Once you?ve got repeated this step at the very least 5 times together with ideally 10 times, then move about the next step.

Step Five: Now with this dominant, controlled, new positive image having become an instant thought any time you imagine the old habit that you used to have, now we are going to spread the put on all those other aspects of your life too.

With that positive image in front of you, reach out together with imagine taking hold of it, like you would a large presented painting, and as everyone lift it up you notice there are tens of thousands of other situations and circumstances ever experience and in everyone, you are responsible, your happy, confident and free of the old habit. You have a smile within your face, you are generally happy, the images are bright and crystal clear and vivid even though you lift that big image people created initially and throw it on the air.

As you throw it in the air, so all the thousands of tiny images go with it, they sparkle inside air and fall on the ground and surround you in the vast array of positive images of one?s future life; images to be free, images to be happy and in control, images that show you surely that you have taken control of this aspect you have ever had definately.

Every direction you try, there are aspects you have ever had which have changed and where you are free.

Keep browsing, keep watching, going deeper inside your mind and then when you feel certain that wherever you try looking in life, the change is actually made, move to the next step.

Step Six: Exit hypnosis by taking a deep, energizing flow of air, wiggling your arms and toes and additionally opening your little brown eyes.

Now you might ideally practice this process a couple of times, but then travel and test genital herpes virus treatments have done and put yourself right into that situation the location where the habit used to take place and let the new imagery and feelings dominate you and unfortunately your thoughts and benefit from being free!

Partnership to inspire STEM learning, build awareness of marine environment

SAN FRANCISCO May 25, 2012 -- Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) has awarded the University of Miami's R.J. Dunlap Marine Conservation Program a grant for $40,000 in support of marine conservation science. The grant will address two major needs: the lack of engaging science education opportunities that inspire youth to learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) skills and adopt conservation attitudes and behaviors, and a lack of knowledge and awareness about marine ecology and conservation, particularly in relation to shark species.

The program will impact a local audience through hands-on trips, as well as people across the globe via online education tools, including virtual expeditions, webinars, pod-casts, blogs, online curricula and social media. Students are lead through a series of field research activities and assignments that give them the feeling of actually being in the field. Interactive Twitter "teach-Ins" every month provide teachers nationwide with knowledge and feedback on scientific topics of interest.

"Wells Fargo is pleased to support the efforts of the University of Miami's R.J. Dunlap Marine Conservation Program,'" said Frank Newman, South Florida Regional President at Wells Fargo. "We are committed to helping make our community aware of the importance of preserving the environment and fostering greater understanding of marine ecology and conservation within the South Florida community."

RJD was established in 2010 to provide marine science education opportunities that inspire youth to learn STEM skills and become informed supporters of ocean conservation. The program addresses a lack of knowledge and awareness about marine ecology and conservation, particularly in relation to shark species, by providing students with hands-on experiences that capture the imagination and engage the spirit.

Over the past four years, RJD has taken more than 3,000 high school students from 41 countries into the field to participate in shark research students attending run the gamut from private schools, to economically disadvantaged, to juvenile offenders. High school students visit the University of Miami's research field station on located on Broad Key, Fla. and are taught about marine conservation issues from the station's in-house classrooms. The facility also serves as the base for students to join scientists in data collection and analysis, including shark abundance surveys, stable isotope analysis, underwater visual surveys, acoustic studies, and blood hormone analysis. In doing so, students will be trained in scientific methods, data synthesis and reporting.

"We are extremely honored and grateful to receive this prestigious grant from Wells Fargo," said Dr. Neil Hammerschlager, UM faculty member and director of RJD. "These much needed funds will go a long way toward expanding and enhancing our marine conservation research and educational work."

This donation is part of Wells Fargo's commitment to supporting the environment. As part of the company's commitment to "greener" communities, economy and operations, Wells Fargo has committed to $30 + billion in environmental investments by the year 2020.

Which Americans Shirk the Census?

House Republicans earlier this month voted to end the American Community Survey, a rich source of detailed data about Americans? lives. But when it comes to the basic census, willingness to answer the federal government?s questions seems to have more to do with where people live than which party they support, as the map below shows. Red or blue, Midwestern counties had 2010 census response rates that exceeded the national rate, while response rates in Western and Southern counties fell short of it.

Online Social Networking: Market Your Home Business With Social ...

?

By Charles Kiyimba

The term online social networking is derived from social networking, which is the grouping of individuals into specific groups with a primary aim of socializing and making fan. Online social networking therefore refers to online communities of internet users whereby members who share common interests and hobbies meet and begin to socialize. Social networking platforms, also known as social sites, are websites like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and many others that offer people the opportunity to socialize.

Why should you join a social network?

One thing you should know is that social networking came and came to stay. It?s the way to go in contemporary times and for both young and old generations. If you want to stay in business, you need to think joining a social network. More and more people are joining now and again and the numbers are growing tremendously. If you are not on Facebook and not on any other social network, I would say you are yet to be born, whether you are in any business or not. For instance, Facebook alone has over 800 million active users of which 400 million frequent this social site every day. What does that communicate to you?

Well a platform with 800 million members is not something to joke with in real terms. This is why any success-conscious business should be visualizing a lot of opportunities and should endeavor to grab them by joining platforms like Facebook, Twitter and others not only for fan but also for marketing your online home business.

Online social networking is largely for socialization and for fan. The biggest benefit you can ever have from being on any social network is the ability to get a diversity of friends from all around the world. You can easily create your own network of friends with whom you share common interests and goals.

Remember that where there is fan there is business and money. For those who are soccer fans, have you ever imagined how many people benefit from football? I have noticed that apart from the players who earn huge amounts of money from their talents, people involved in businesses like betting, selling drinks, jerseys and many other items related to soccer earn their living when other people enjoy fan. Many have made a fortune out the fan created by football. Just look around you, you will understand what I am saying.

Through the fan you can also position yourself well to do business. Most people like fan, like socializing and are so much willing to part away with their cash to get what will give them the fan they like. Using the same example of football, when soccer fans get excited upon winning a match, they rejoice in various ways and styles. As they rejoice, they spend on the things that enhance their happiness.

That said, I would like you to look at online social networking as a very rich and fertile ground for you to base on and market your business. Learn the tricks of doing business using social networks. As you socialize, position yourself well to market your business to the so many friends you make. Some of the key factors of building a successful marketing strategy with social networks include the following.

1. Acquiring information on how the social network you have joined operates. It?s important for you to get to know very well how the network operates.

2. Planning prior to the implementation of your marketing strategies in any social network you are in. There is nothing you can ever succeed in without good planning. Effective planning, for example if you are on Facebook, will entail asking yourself and finding answers as to what you want to achieve, how you intend to achieve it and what your brand is.

3. Knowing about your targeted customers. You have to get in-depth information about your targeted customers, what they like and dislike, their behaviors, how to get them and any other related information.

4. Building a team of unlimited number of fans from whom you will get people interested in the products and services you offer.

5. Engaging your friends and other visitors regularly to create a reason for them to like you and come back to your page through provision of useful content, photos, videos, organizing contests and having fan with them.

6. Avoiding using traditional marketing methods in any social network. What I mean here is that you should avoid controlling your friends. Remember that people join social networks mainly for fan and socialization. Instead of controlling them, communicate to them, collaborate with them, educate them and entertain them.

7. Educating and entertaining your followers is a key to building a trusting relationship with them. Make it a habit to post educative and entertaining information however simple it is.

8. Establishing your presence. People can only build trust in your business if they get to know that there is a human being behind it.

9. Adding social media buttons to your website to enable your visitors to share your content with their friends.

10. Selling products related to your brand image and your niche.

As I wind up, I would like to remind you that online social networking came to stay. If you are already on a social network but were limiting yourself to using it only for fan, think about marketing your business to earn some income out of fan and socialization

Keeping Your 'Old Faithful' Auto Running | Loudoun Auto Repair

At Loudoun Auto Repair we?ve had a lot of people asking how they can make their vehicles last longer. These questions are actually a reflection of a trend that?s been building for several years. The median age of personal vehicles is now over nine years. And 33 percent of all vehicles on the road have over 75,000 miles on them. It looks like it?s going to keep heading in that direction for a while. With high fuel prices a lot of folks are putting off buying a new car. Thanks to AutoNetTV, we can provide you with a video answer to this question.

So let?s say you?re one of the average people in the Leesburg area; you?ve got a nine year old car with 80,000 miles on the odometer. What can you to do make it last another year or two?

Let?s start with the premise that there?s no reason that a modern car can?t run for 200,000 miles with proper care. The engineering and manufacturing quality is there.

Of course, some parts will wear out along the way, but there?s no reason for a catastrophic meltdown if you stay on top of your recommended maintenance. The maintenance schedule in some owner?s manuals runs out at 60,000 miles or so: how do we know what to do when we?re way past that?

It is a challenge, for example: If a service is recommended every 15,000 miles for the first 60,000 miles you can just keep getting it done at least every 15,000 miles after you hit 60,000 miles. But, it gets more complicated because older engines lose some efficiency, are dirtier inside and are just more stressed. That means it?s very important to not miss any scheduled services. Skipping just one oil change, for example, leaves an opportunity for harmful sludge to build up.

So all the usual things like oil changes, transmission service, coolant service, brakes, power steering, fuel system cleaning ? all that stuff need to be maintained. People responsible for fleet vehicles around Leesburg are positively religious about scheduled maintenance. They know that money spent on maintenance saves them three ways:

  1. it saves fuel;
  2. it prevents costly repairs, an;
  3. they can postpone purchasing new vehicles.

Having the oil changed may be the most important thing. A full service oil change means that all of your other fluids get topped off so they are never low enough to cause damage. It also gives your technician a chance to spot problems in the early stages so that you can fix them before they get expensive. And it gives you a touch point with a professional along the way to remind you of things that aren?t scheduled as often ? things like differential service and timing belt replacement.

If you live in the Leesburg area and have an older vehicle, you may need to follow the severe service maintenance schedule. Check your owner?s manual and talk with your service advisor at Loudoun Auto Repair. Conditions inside an older engine, transmission and cooling system can arguably be considered severe ? so shorter intervals could well be called for.

And, we would strongly encourage you to consider using high mileage formulation fluids. They?re fluids like engine oil, transmission fluid and coolant that are formulated for older engines. They have special additives to clean deposits, and to condition and restore seals and gaskets that dry out with age. Some people start using higher mileage formulations at around 50,000 miles as a preventive measure.

Of course you also want to still look marvelous in your older car. Salt and road grime wreak havoc on your paint job and can lead to body rust ? so regular washing is very important. Also, a good quality waxing is recommended at least twice a year.

Samsung UN55ES6500F

The Samsung UN46ES6500F ($1,729.99 list) is a smart-looking 46-inch HDTV with 3D capabilities, loads of interactive web services, and built-in Wi-Fi. It delivers very accurate colors and a crisp, clean HD picture, but the LED backlit panel could be brighter. You won't get dark inky blacks with this model either, and it only has three HDMI ports. However, it does offers some neat features, including two sets of active shutter 3D glasses and Samsung's Smart Hub menu system that makes it easy to launch apps, play multimedia files and movies, surf the web, and connect to other devices.

Editors' Note: This review is based on tests performed on the Samsung UN46ES6500F, the 46-inch model in the same series. Besides the screen size difference, the 55-inch $2,519.99 UN55ES6500 is identical in features, and while we didn't perform lab tests on this specific model, we expect similar performance.

Design and Features
Style-wise, the UN46ES6500F is easy on the eyes. The panel, which actually measures 45.9 inches, is framed by an ultra-slim (0.5-inch) matte black bezel and sits in a slender 1.25 inch cabinet (the bottom juts out to 1.9 inches to accommodate the down-firing speakers). The bezels are decorated with beveled clear trim, giving the set a pleasing angular look. A shiny Samsung badge protrudes downward from the center of the bottom bezel. The sturdy four-legged stand is piano black and can swivel smoothly.

Two USB ports and one HDMI port are vertically positioned at the rear of the cabinet and facing right. Two additional HDMI ports and one more USB port are flush mounted along with digital audio in and out connections, an optical audio output, shared component and composite AV jacks, a TV cable/antenna jack, a LAN port, and an EX-Link (serial) port. While most HDTVs this size offer four HDMI ports, the UN46ES6500F only gives you three, which can be a problem if you have a set top box, a Blu-ray player, and more than one gaming console.?

There are no function buttons on the UN46ES6500F. Instead, there's a small joystick control mounted on the lower right side of the back panel that lets you access and navigate the various menu pages. It's easier to use the remote to adjust settings and launch apps. The 9-inch wand is backlit and has all the usual player, volume, and channel controls. The number buttons are a tad small and the backlighting is slightly dim, but the remote is lightweight and fits comfortably in the hand. In the center of the remote is a colorful Smart Hub key.

Samsung's Smart Hub provides a single point of access for launching Web apps, streaming content from the Web and compatible DLNA devices over an Ethernet connection or the UN46ES6500F's built-in Wi-Fi, playing movies, and accessing USB based content. The icon-driven menu is colorful and easy to navigate. It includes the cloud-based Family Story app, which lets families share photos and videos and schedule events, an interactive Fitness app for body sculpting, fat burning, and weight monitoring, and a Kids portal featuring several?Canimals?episodes, WordWorld, and other kid oriented apps.

Samsung's Web app catalog is extensive, offering more than 70 information channels including Save Our Planet, The History Of America, and Home Safety. Streaming movie apps include Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, CinemaNow, and Blockbuster, and there are over 90 free and paid games available. Education services include Today In History, the Periodic Tables, and Guitar Chords, and you get about a dozen sports apps including MLB, NBA, and ESPN. You can also access most social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Picasa) and surf the Web with the built-in browser.

The UN46ES6500F provides plenty of picture settings to help you get the best possible picture for your lighting environment. There are four picture modes (Standard, Dynamic, Movie, and Natural) with optimized settings for their respective function. Movie mode offers the best all-around picture, especially if you're in a dimly lit room. You get all the basic settings, including backlight, brightness, contrast, sharpness, color, and tint controls, as well as a handful of advanced settings such as 10-point white balance, gamma, flesh tone, black tone, and dynamic contrast ratio. Picture options include AutoMotion Plus with judder and blur reduction for eliminating motion artifacts, film mode (for content shot at 24 fps), and LED Motion Plus, which uses backlight strobe to help reduce motion blur.

Performance
The UN46ES6500F's performance was a mixed bag. While seated at dead center it provided a realistic 3D picture with very little crosstalk while watching?Sharks 3D. Crosstalk was more prominent when seated at an extreme angle but the 3D effect was still enjoyable. The set comes with two pairs of lightweight active shutter glasses which are fairly comfortable but not very stylish. They also let too much light in from the sides.

Using images from the DisplayMate suite of HDTV diagnostic tests, a Chroma Meter, and SpectraCal's Calman software, the panel produced a peak brightness reading of 101.81 cd/m2?after a basic darkroom calibration. That's not very bright for an LED backlit HDTV, especially when compared to other LED sets like the?Vizio M3D550KD ($1,429.99, 4 stars) (364.75 cd/m2) and LG 55LM6700 ($2,299.99, 4 stars) (256.68 cd/m2). Moreover, the UN46ES6500F's black level (0.06 cd/m2) can't touch that of the Vizio (0.02 cd/m2) or the LG (0.03 cd/m2), and its measured contrast ratio of 1696:1 is mediocre at best.

On the plus side the UN46ES6500F delivers very accurate colors out of the box, as shown in the CIE Chromaticity Chart below (the red, green, and blue boxes represent the CIE standard for each color and the circles represent the panel's actual reading). It also has a wide off-angle viewing range; there was hardly any color shifting when viewed from an extreme side angle and the panel did not lose luminance.

Scenes from?Piranha?on Blu-ray were crisp with natural looking skin tones, but shadow detail suffered a bit as a result of the panel's inability to display dark blacks, and you don't get the kind of punchy picture that you get from a panel with a high contrast ratio. Still, the UN46ES6500F delivers a very sharp, noise-free picture.

The UN46ES6500F is easy on power but not quite as eco-friendly as the larger LG 55LM6700. During my testing it used 93 watts of power with power saving disabled and 53 watts with power saving set to low, while the LG used 67 watts and 48 watts, respectively. You can cut the UN46ES6500F's power consumption even more by setting power saving to medium (41 watts) or high (28 watts), but both settings are much too dim.

Conclusion
The Samsung UN46ES6500F is a capable 46-inch HDTV that is tastefully designed and offers a nice feature set, including two sets of 3D glasses, lots of interactive apps, and a cloud-based family portal. Its color quality is top notch, but its peak brightness and black level performance hold it back. All told, you'll get better performance from our recent budget Editors' Choice, the Vizio M3D550KD, and you'll get more screen and save a few hundred dollars while you're at it.

Food Network Star Recap: May 20, 2012 from Tv Food and Drink ...

I think tonight?s unfortunately bland ?Bus Tour? episode of Food Network Star?can be summed up by the amount of times the participants gave each other the ?swirly finger.?
You know the ?swirly finger,? right? ?You put your index finger up in the air and swirl it around as a silent way of saying to someone else, ?Yo dude? wrap it up. ?It?s officially boring now.?
Television producers crouching behind cameras often give the ?swirly finger? to their red carpet host who?s about to go one question too many with Jim Belushi. ? Mommies give it to the mall Santa when their kid moves away from Legos and skateboards and starts asking for live panda bears and a career like P. Diddy?s.

As for me, I was giving the ?swirly? to my television about 25 minutes into this episode.

This new format of dividing the competitors into three smaller teams, each led by a celebrity mentor has proven itself, in only two episodes, to be a critical mis-step for the show. ?Here?s why:

1.) I said it last week, and I?ll say it again? I DON?T CARE OF GIADA BEATS BOBBY, OR IF BOBBY BEATS ALTON. ?They each make more money at a Saturday Barnes and Noble signing than I do all year. ?Short of threatening to give their kids Mike Tyson face tattoos if they lose, I will never believe any of them care anything about ?the win.?

2.) Breaking the 15 competitors into smaller teams of five, I feel, has taken out a great chunk of the intimidation factor. ?Think about it? what would make you sweat more? going up against a gang of 4, or a gang of 14?

Watching these competitors scream obscenities at one another as they fight over the meager amounts of ingredients on hand in what has got to be the worst stocked kitchen in all of television is a huge part of the fun. ?I like seeing the challenges bring out the worst in these players.

But because of this new format, each team is separated from one another for almost the entire episode, so they don?t even get to lay eyes on the very people they?re told to compete against, much less insult them, trip them as they?re running across the kitchen, or over-salt their bouillabaisse when no one?s looking.

Even worse, within the teams there seems to be a slowly blossoming ?support mentality? taking hold. ?I don?t know about you, but I don?t want to watch these contestants help one another and offer consoling shoulders when they under-perform. ?I want to see the 1950s telephone operator push a carving knife up against Rock and Roller?s throat for swiping the last parsnip off her work station. ?I want to see Pucker Lips Justin rip that irritating nose ring out of Michele?s face. ?I want raised voices and words like ?backstabber? and ?manipulator? tossed about freely. ?I don?t need to watch a group of people suppress their petty jealousies and pretend to get along with each other for two full hours. ?I?ve got family holidays for that.

3.) Where?s our villain? ?Last season, we had that fabulous ?Bitch on Wheels? Penny. ?I can?t say I ever once wanted her to win, but I relished hating her for enough episodes so that I could ultimately take great satisfaction when the judges finally knocked her legs out from under her. ?We have no one even approaching that spot so far this season. ?I got the impression last week either Nikki or Martita might be heading for the ?love to hate? title, but everyone is so isolated from one another, there?s no opportunity for them to even work up enough venom to spit.

In short, there?s an appalling lack of drama on this season?s Food Network Star, and the blame can be pointed squarely at the decision to copy the ?celebrity mentor? format of NBC?s The Voice. ?Hopefully, it will be rectified soon and the remaning competitors will be merged back into one giant dysfunctional ball? competing in a space that?s just a little too small for them, with the heat turned up just a little too high, and the kitchen floors greased just enough with an invisible layer of Crisco. ?Otherwise, it?s going to be a long, painful season for all of us.

Challenge #1 - Each team is assigned a different New York neighborhood known for a specific type of cuisine. ?After visiting each neighborhood, each contestant must return to the kitchen and create a dish inspired by it, then present it to the judges and a group of guinea pig ?test-eaters? on a local bus tour.

Here are the highlights:

Justin has pretty lips, but no personality and likes to dress like a 1970?s wedding DJ.

1950s Phone Operator Emily forgets to eat and nearly throws up on everyone during her bus presentation.

Martie still likes to party.

Michele goes on and on about how much she hates ?bottom-feeding? catfish, then makes a bunch of it and pretends to like it to trick other people into eating it.

Judson gets assigned pickles as his dish?s main ingredient. ?Alton tells him to ?embrace the pickle.? ?Everyone purses their lips and looks down at their feet.

Kara gets nervous while presenting and refers to ?African Americans? as ?blacks,? which makes Judge Susie Fogelson wince. ?Also, her chicken and waffles dish tasted like she got it out of the frozen food section at the Piggly Wiggly.

Linkie is afraid to make cannolis.

Yvan makes a mozzarella anitpasti that has no flavor.

Josh plans to ?rock and roll? his Italian sausage story, but instead presents a meandering 15 minute narrative that has something to do with how Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci first met. Everyone is bored, and Giada promises never again to pick someone for the show because of his cute butt and super-cool sideburns.
Judge Bob announces that Martita is ?just so likable!? ?Everyone purses their lips and looks down at their feet.

In the end, the members of Team Giada won the Bus Challenge and were all saved from elimination. ?Heading to the Producer?s Challenge Elimination Cook-off?were Kara and Judson. Their final challenge was to create an interesting dish with ? I kid you not ? potatoes. ?Not sweet potatoes, not Himalayan Wombat Potatoes, not Mr. Potato Head dolls. Just plain old potatoes. And there was still thirty minutes to go.

Kara made twice-baked potatoes ?with a twist!? ?What was the grand mysterious M. Night Shyamalan?element to her meal, you may ask? ?Was it that they were creamy? ?Was it that she added bacon? ?Was it that her mommy makes them for her every year on her birthday?

It was never made clear.

Regardless, Judge Bob loved it, though Susie pointed out that when Kara presents her food, she uses hollow words like ?fantastic? and ?great? way too much.

Meanwhile, Judson made potatoes encrusted with salmon and mascarpone?and goat cheese. ?The title alone should have secured him the win over Kara right then and there.

Bob said that the meal wasn?t memorable because the salmon was really the star instead of the potato. ?Susie said that it was layered and soulful, but that Judson lacks authenticity when he?s presenting his food, and comes off as if he?s talking to a room full of thousands.

Judson cried. ?Susie was not having it. ?That woman is made of stone, I tell ya! ?I love her!
In the end, ?Don?t Say Blacks? Kara was the one who took the long walk of shame through the darkened Food Network Star kitchen? the one that never has any butter on hand when the challenge that week is ?Make Something Spectacular with Butter!?

Poor Kara didn?t seem too surprised that the axe fell on her neck. ?Though the judges saw potential, they couldn?t find anything ?unique? that would make them want to watch any more. When they said that, I pursed my lips, looked down at my feet, and prayed for a reversal of fortune on next week?s Food Network Star.

Car insurance in Houston and Sacramento ... - Nbi Auto Insurance

> Auto & Motor > Car insurance in Houston and Sacramento ? Information You should know

Today, cars have become quite affordable. However, one thing that may discourage some drivers while using their cars is the amounts of premiums they pay on motor insurance. Few seem to be conscious of they can compare motor insurance and discover various motor insurance deals which will help them pay less premiums. In this post, we will take a look at some ideas which will help you get affordable car insurance.

How you perform yourself being a citizen with the state can also be essential when you?re trying to find car insurance. How you behave matters a whole lot when insurance providers desire to give you an insurance policy. As an example, in case you are, or used to be, a convicted felon, you should expect to cover a bit more on insurance costs. Also, for those who have a poor credit rating and your credit history is not good, you?ll be paying more for car insurance. Try to live and eat what the law states with the land. Also, try and have a very good credit rating so that you could get the very best rates for the motor insurance premium. Taking part in community work and development auto insurance also may help you get lower rates on your insurance.

There?s two methods for you to use when looking for car insurance: calling/visiting insurance providers or using insurance companies? portals. Using the first option, you?ll have to spend lots of money on transport and make contact with bills as you inquire about the kinds of policies that insurance providers dress in car insurance. This is frustrating as there are times you?ll have to hold on tight the phone for some time although some information is being confirmed. However, using insurance companies? portals is much simpler, faster and cheaper. There are numerous insurance providers that have developed websites that enable prospective clients to obtain quotes. Normally, you might be supplied with an internet form where you stand meant to feed in some information. You will then be issued with rough estimates about the type of car insurance policy you need. Should you this using a number of websites, you will be capable of compare rates across several insurance providers.

How you maintain your car also matters a whole lot. In case your car is much more than 5 years old and it has comprehensive coverage, you need to make use of a less comprehensive policy. Customer Service for business | Make Money Online At Home ...

?

As the number of e-tailers in the United States increases, the number of industry experts mocking the level of customer service also increases. Customer service is, today, one of the most important aspects of moving your business online, and a lot of what you?ve learned in the offline world maps right onto the online one. Luckily for you, most online retailers don?t do a good job of customer service, leaving you j in a prime position to create a competitive advantage. But, as you know, things in this industry move quickly, so don?t rest on your laurels.

The critically poor customer service levels in the e-commerce industry stem from the fact that, originally, the only people who bought online were skilled computer users who thought in a similar way to the programmers who designed and built the sites. Now that an increasing number of non-technical people are using e-commerce, the need for customer service has grown ? a major need has been to provide what are, effectively, technical support services to the sites themselves. Additionally, the impersonal nature of the Web and online shopping effectively increases the distance between you and your customer, meaning more tender, loving care is needed to keep your customers happy.

In this article, we?ll be talking about the tools and services you can provide to help bridge the gap between you and your customers. Naturally, the ideas in this article just scrape the surface of possible customer service tools that you could implement on your site. An important source of more ideas is the staff of your company and your friends. Ask them to report to you whenever they have a problem with someone?s site as they do their own personal shopping at home you?ll quickly find all kinds of good ideas.

In this article the customer service strategies that we?re going to cover are:

  • Toll-free numbers to provide customer support
  • E-mail interaction between vendor and customer for addressing queries
  • Automatic e-mailing to customers for order support

Let?s start by stepping back from Internet-based interactions and look at why, and how, we can use telephone support to enhance our e-commerce organization.

Toll-Free Numbers:
Even though you?re operating an online service, it?s very important you have a quality telephone infrastructure that your customers and potential customers can use to contact someone in your organization if they have a per-sales or a post-sales question.

The philosophy that, because you?re an online company, everyone will want to contact you through e-mail is simply not correct. In some very specific market segments, it may be the case that the vast majority will contact you through e-mail (typically, we find this tendency in computer-related retail sites). Niche markets are likely to experience a larger amount of customers who are less confident of carrying out online transactions, and are therefore likely to create a greater load on operators.

One of the most important reasons to offer an effective telesales operation is to capture the address and credit card portion of the order. A surprisingly high number of people are not comfortable with sending a credit card number over the Internet and prefer to telephone in their orders. Naturally, an easy way of dealing with an offline transaction such as this is to have a telephone operator tap the order into the tools the customer would use if they weren?t so wary of the consequences. If that customer receives a busy signal, or spends too long on hold, it?s likely he or she will abandon the call and move on to another merchant.

Unfortunately it?s not uncommon to come across telephone operators who have never used the Internet and can easily say some pretty impolitic things to technically literate customers. Since you want to ensure all contact with your organization is as pleasant as possible it might be a good idea to put together an FAQ, that?s updated daily, for the staff who answer the phones.

Customer Service E-mails:
When dealing with customers online, you?ll find that there are two distinct types of people; those who?ll prefer to interact with you over the phone (and as we?ve seen, this type of person may even phone you to place orders), and those who?ll prefer to contact you by e-mail.

To provide an organized way of allowing people to contact your company you may want to offer a variety of e-mail addresses; for example an e-commerce company might offer the following:

Customer Service for business Customer Service for business|> sales@yourdomain.com ? e-mails pertaining to actual sales of the product

|> support@yourdomain.com ? e-mails pertaining to issues with getting the product working properly

|> service@yourdomain.com ? e-mails pertaining to general customer service issues

|> webmaster@yourdomain.com ? e-mails pertaining to Web-related issues with the site

|> advertising@yourdomain.com ? if you offer advertising on your site, e-mails pertaining to advertising opportunities

|> partnering@yourdomain.com- e-mails pertaining to enquiries into entering into a business relationship with the company

Providing e-mail addresses for different parts of your organization (even if, in a small company only one person actually answers the e-mail) is a very simple proposition; but this must be managed effectively in order for it to be a constructive customer service tool.

What this basically means is, if you have a service@yourdomain.com e-mail address, make sure that the person dealing with that in box can turn the enquiries round quickly. There is nothing more frustrating than having a customer service e-mail fall completely on deaf ears, or take a very long time to receive an answer. E-mail might be an asynchronous medium, yet the person sending the message is still keen to have a response. What seems like an hour or so to you may well seem like a day to the customer. Most customers expect a turnaround in a 24-hour period, but turning around queries faster than this may well give you a competitive advantage.

Additionally you should make sure that you regularly check that each of these e-mail addresses works. A good way to do this is to periodically test the e-mail addresses you use by running code similar to this:

Contact Forms:
A lot of sites use contact forms that invite people to communicate with the company through a Web-based form, such as the one shown below. Although these forms are not as flexible as having a list of e-mail addresses, they can be used for a number of reasons including focusing customer input, or avoiding abuse of e-mail facilities by people attaching massive or malicious files.

All modern browsers will launch the customer?s e-mail client upon clicking on a link that is specified as an e-mail address through the mail to: protocol. However, there are certain circumstances where the user j will not have access to a mail client such as if they?re using a browser on a handheld computer or mobile phone, or if they?re using the site from a public Web kiosk.

Some reasons for not using forms like this on your site are:

  • The customer has no record of sending the e-mail. Because the process does not involve the customer?s e-mail client in any way, the customer cannot look back to see when e-mails were sent. This could be particularly important in defusing problematic customer service issues.
  • Bounced messages may not get routed back properly.
  • Replies may not get back to the customer if they misspell their e-mail address.
  • Lack of appropriate tools. Some customers may not be comfortable sending e-mails without running them through spell checkers. Customers who are visually challenged may not wish to cram their message into a hard to read box on a form. By inviting the user to use their regular e-mail client, you ensure that they will have minimum difficulty in getting in touch.

May 21, 2012 An international team of researchers, including a University of Virginia professor, has found that two ink sacs from 160-million-year-old giant cephalopod fossils discovered two years ago in England contain the pigment melanin, and that it is essentially identical to the melanin found in the ink sac of a modern-day cuttlefish.

The study is published online in the May 21 edition of the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The finding in an extremely rare case of being able to study organic material that is hundreds of millions of years old suggests that the ink-screen escape mechanism of cephalopods cuttlefish, squid and octopuses has not evolved since the Jurassic period, and that melanin could be preserved intact in the fossils of a range of organisms.

"Though the other organic components of the cephalopod we studied are long gone, we've discovered through a variety of research methods that the melanin has remained in a condition that could be studied in exquisite detail," said John Simon, one of the study authors, a chemistry professor and the executive vice president and provost at U.Va.

One of the ink sacs studied is the only intact ink sac ever discovered.

Phillip Wilby of the British Geological Survey found it in Christian Malford, Wiltshire, England, west of London near Bristol. He sent samples to Simon and Japanese chemist Shoskue Ito, both experts on melanin, who then engaged research colleagues in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and India to investigate the samples using a combination of direct, high-resolution chemical techniques to determine whether or not the melanin had been preserved.

It had.

The investigators then compared the chemical composition of the fossil melanin to the melanin in the ink of the modern cuttlefish, Sepia officinalis, common to the Mediterranean, North and Baltic seas.

They found a match.

"It's close enough that I would argue that the pigmentation in this class of animals has not evolved in 160 million years," Simon said. "The whole machinery apparently has been locked in time and passed down through succeeding generations of cuttlefish. It's a very optimized system for this animal and has been optimized for a long time."

Generally animal tissue, made up mostly of protein, degrades quickly. Over the course of millions of years all that is likely to be found from an animal is skeletal remains or an impression of the shape of the animal in surrounding rock. Scientists can learn much about an animal by its bones and impressions, but without organic matter they are left with many unanswered questions.

But melanin is an exception. Though organic, it is highly resilient to degradation over the course of vast amounts of time.

"Out of all of the organic pigments in living systems, melanin has the highest odds of being found in the fossil record," Simon said. "That attribute also makes it a challenge to study. We had to use innovative methods from chemistry, biology and physics to isolate the melanin from the inorganic material."

The researchers cross-checked their work using separate complementary experiments designed to capitalize on various molecular features unique to melanin and determined the morphology and chemical composition of the material. This combination of in-depth, multidisciplinary techniques is not normally used by paleontologists to study fossil samples.

"I think the strength of this paper is that it is not tied to a single method," Simon said. "Any one technique would have brought some insights, but potentially more questions than insights. It was really the more holistic approach that fully characterized it and allowed us to actually do a real comparison between what existed during the Jurassic period and what exists now.

"It's also given us a handle on ways of identifying organic components in fossils that might have been missed using standard methods."
