Niners Nation :: Sunday Night Football Open Thread: Packers Vs. Bears

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. The NFL moved most of their football to Saturday, but they did leave a little something for us on Sunday evening. The Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in what should be a fun rivalry game.

The Bears actually still have something to play for this season. If they win out and Atlanta loses out, the Bears would claim the remaining wild card berth. On the other hand, the Green Bay Packers have plenty of reason to win as they look to lock up the number one seed in the NFC. If they lose to Chicago and then next week to Detroit and the 49ers defeat the Rams next week, San Francisco claims the number one seed.

The odds are long for that to happen, but that doesn't mean we will root for the Bears any less. The Packers are turning into a banged-up squad, so maybe they are ripe for two more upsets. I'm not holding my breath, but maybe we'll get some nice Christmas fortune.
