IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking to hire a MECHANICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE for the Edmonton territory based out of the Edmonton office.
SUMMARY
To achieve or surpass targeted sales objectives for our client within pricing guidelines, terms of sale, and distribution channels aimed at developing new and existing markets.? As well as provide technical advice on application and installations.?
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintain and generate sales for Mechanical Systems distributors, understanding market/competitive activity in order to deal with distributorship Managers and purchasing representatives.? Promote products on sales calls, gaining commitment of sale.?
Promotes and assures a positive relationship with all customers through regular communication of product related information.? Upon delivery of products, evaluate customer?s satisfaction level to ensure constant enhancement of customer relations.
Acts as mechanical/technical resource, services existing accounts and generates future business prospects through frequent visits throughout assigned territory.? Prepare presentations aimed at gathering pertinent customer information while relaying which quality products meet their needs, aimed at growing sales as well as the distributor?s through education.
Builds long-term relationships with contractors, engineers and end users, promoting product quality and application in a competitive market, to secure their commitment to our product.
Investigate and follow-up on new customer inquiries, cold calls and untouched markets to continuously develop sales opportunities.? Participate in trade shows and/or other promotional programs.
Writes quotations, follows-up on outstanding orders and quotations, maintaining constant contact with customers.
Liaises with all necessary internal personnel, particularly customer service in order to communicate customer information and all relevant data.
Report and document all sales activities in order to facilitate sales forecast preparation and costing data.
Job exists to have independent or primary responsibility for own Mechanical systems sales activities in the region.?
Responsible to act as a representative and liaison for the company when dealing with clients.? Supports the general manufacturing, resale and molding segments of the business.
Interacts on a daily basis with other sales representatives and sales manager.? Many times a day, interacts with inside sales individuals.? Contacts Distributors and contractors daily.
QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree, Mechanical background an asset, combined with two to five years sales experience within a related industry is required.?
Experience with mechanical systems distribution and contractors.? Gaskets, fittings and plumbing.
Ability to work under pressure, effectively manage one?s own schedule and the need to possess thorough product knowledge/specifications are essential to this position.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Time management is key to this position, to correctly handle a high volume of client requests, respond to market trends and anticipate problems.? Knowledge and competence are being challenged on a continuous basis, directly with the customer.? As the product is highly customized to meet specific customer needs, working with unique requests creates challenges.?
Salary is $65,000 ? $75,000 base plus bonus. Company vehicle is provided. 3 weeks vacation to start with full benefits after 3 months.
