The business of being a Vancouver realtor has changed a lot in the last decade or two and I?m shocked at the ten bad habits of some realtors . Whether buying or selling a Vancouver property, be sure to hire an experienced and trustworthy Vancouver real estate agent, in order to avoid the pitfalls. Would you want an agent with the following habits working for you?
These are some of my experiences when organizing a Vancouver ?buyer tour last week.
- I?m out-of-town, can you return another day (does your seller know this?)
- they don?t show up for the appointment and don?t communicate
- they arrive very late for the appointment and don?t communicate
- they are unable to answer our questions about the Vancouver condo building, maintenance fee is incorrect
- they send their unlicensed assistant to show the property
- they?re an out-of-town agent and have specific showing times that suit them
Five Bad Habits of Vancouver?s Buyer Agents
- the agent arranges a showing for my listing and sends her buyer, with no advance request
- they show up late and don?t communicate
- they give the buyer a list of opens and questions to ask and then call me with an offer, having never viewed the Vancouver condo
- they don?t show up for the property inspection
- they send a licensed or unlicensed assistant to the showing and inspection
What about the agents who bombard my buyer client with questions about their personal situation? I then take out my little red stop sign! ?You?d be surprised at the large number of Vancouver realtors who don?t know or abide by the Law of Designated Agency. The buyers info (just like the sellers) is confidential to their agent, why would they put their cards on the table ?

WELCOME! And thanks for checking out my site, and wanting to know a little bit about me. I LOVE what I do, and that?s helping home buyers and home sellers in the waterfront condo neighbourhoods of Vancouver and I?ve been doing just that for nearly 30 years, so I?ve really gotten to know this market like the back of my hand. In fact I?ve seen Vancouver?s neighbourhoods of Coal Harbour, Downtown, Kitsilano, False Creek North, the West End and now the Olympic Village being built and I have an in depth knowledge of these neighbourhoods.
